Written Report:
It was a bright and cool day, the snowpack on the NNE aspect was very dry and light. A test pit on a 35 degree slope showed a good weak over strong snowpack, moving from F for the 60cm of upper snow to 4F at and below the old snowpack. Conducting an extended column test revealed a moderate Q3 fracture at the new/old snow boundary. Upon traversing the slope a small dry sluff (picture) was triggered and traveled around 50 yards.
