Written Report:
I did a quick tour up Tumalo this morning. Be careful. The cornices are still quite large. Largest I've seen this late in the season. Failing cornices have triggered numerous wind slab avalanches. It looked like there were at least 3 slides in the past 12 hours. My partner and I skied down the ridgeline until we could find a safe place to assess the conditions. I kicked off a smaller cornice, which triggered a D1 slide. The wind slab was about 9 inches deep.

We skied the far (skiers) left side of the bowl and stayed on low angle terrain. I uploaded a picture. The quality is pretty poor, but you can see the new debris field below the cornices. I would not venture into the heart of the bowl. Stay safe out there!
