Written Report:
Its a mixed bag of spring snow storms, warm temps and a powerful sun...

Yesterday: Below Treeline, the snowpack was very wet (mashed potatoes) concern would be LOOSE WET

At Treeline the top 4" of snow was moist (dense) over a dry snow from Tuesday's storm. This was a bit upside down. Shovel tilt tests showed the top 6" would slide. This is the elevation band we skied. It was easy to produce LOOSE WET (surface slides). We avoided larger terrain and sunny slopes concerned about releasing larger WET SLABS.

Above treeline there was evidence of Previous WIND/STORM SLABS. There was an R3 D2 crown that fractured up high at the ridgetop above little Three Creeks Lake. As it ran down it turned from a slab to wet loose.

Until we get a good melt freeze cycle going we will have this mixed bag of wet and dry snow with the above lingering problems.
