Written Report:
Well, a little snow is better than none. It was cold and wintry today, with 2.5 - 3.5 cm. of new snow evenly distributed all the way from Pole Creek TH to the top of the Hayden. While the wind was Calm or Light on the glacier it was Strong from the North East on the summit. With so little new snow, and such high winds I didn't see any wind slab avalanche problem. Slightly loaded zones actually provided better skiing with more soft snow. The skies cleared throughout the day but it was cold enough that the new snow stayed light and dry.

Weather at 11:10 AM 6,800 ft. East
Few Clouds, NO precipitation
Temperature -8.5 C
Wind was Calm and Blowing snow was NONE, but was Intense and North East at ridge top
Height of new snow was 3.5 cm.
