Additional Comments:
Conditions in the Broken Top Bowl were variable today. Skinning toward Broken Top the sky was partly sunny/broken clouds. Around 11:00 high clouds moved in and kept the snow surface cool. High up in the bowl on SW aspects the snow was firm/crusty but edgeable.

There were previous small loose wet slides on SE-S-SW aspects in the bowl above treeline. Some looked fairly recent and probably from the last day or two. The largest was in the à la mode run (SW aspect above treeline). I did not see any roller balls or loose wet avalanches happening today.

There were isolated cornices on the ridges above treeline facing SE-E. Although Isolated, some of these were quite significant and you definitely would not want to walk out on one.

Near treeline and below treeline, snow was soft and mushy.
