Written Report:
Wind slabs were present on Ball Butte on east, northeast, and north facing slopes near and above treeline.
No shooting cracks were observed. No slabs were triggered on ski cuts. However, we stayed off of wind loaded slopes that were steeper than 30 degrees.

Wind slabs ranged from 10cm (4") to 60cm (24"). Hand sheer tests varied throughout the terrain. The wind slabs are bonding well in some locations, but wherever the slabs were over softer and weaker snow, the slabs were not well bonded. These wind slabs will bond with time, but could need a few more days.

I would not have been surprised to have seen a wind slab avalanche triggered on a loaded slope on steeper terrain, over 35 degrees.

Rime crusts were present on the ridge tops.

The south and southeast slopes were slightly wind affected, but not wind loaded and provided good riding conditions.
