Written Report:
We toured out to Todd Lake. It was -1*C leaving the car and hovered right around there all day. It was snowing pretty consistently all day. We dug a pit on a test slope on a NE facing aspect at around 6000ft. The HS was 275cm. The pit was dug down to 125 cm just below the early Feb. melt freeze sandwich. There was 7 cm of new snow over 20cm of alternating melt freeze crusts and softer snow. Compression test saw CTH 25cm down SP on a melt freeze interface. Was looking for the buried surface hoar and did not see it in the meter of storm snow.
