Terrain Ridden: Mellow slopes, Open trees
The Day Was: Stormy, Windy, Cloudy
Observed: Significant drifting snow from wind

Additional Comments:
On the western side of Tumalo in the trees, I found 5 - 20 cm (2-8") of soft snow on the surface. This was on top of a supportable crust over wet saturated snow. On the summit, the wind was moderate with strong gusts out of the west, NW, and north. Significant blowing snow was moving toward the south and east. I could not see in the east facing bowl due to poor visibility, but I expect wind slabs are being formed on lee slopes.
