Written Report:
Howdy folks, down here in not so Central Southern Oregon. Toured Crater lake today with some fine strangers. Dug a "pit" without a column test on a 30-35 degree slope southwest/west.

Snow pack: approx. 90 cm to ground (35").
Thickness of snow: between 80/85-90 cm: Fist
down to 70 cm: four-finger thickness
below 70 cm: one finger thickness

Phone died, so I don't have any pictures. Observed surface hoar on the surface, below 6,500 ft. (surface hoar was pretty pronounced throughout the open areas. Didn't notice the surface hoar as much, on the tour out, at about 2pm. Noticed the top 3-5 inches of snow wanted to consolidate into a slab when kicked off a roller, but it didn't slide very far.

Overall, snow felt very stable and ready for the next storm cycle!
