Written Report:
We toured out to Todd Ridge on Sunday, 12/13. Temperature was -4C when we left the car with light snow falling. There was about 5cm of new snow on top of a light freezing rain crust. We dug a pit on a West facing slope at an angle of 32 degrees. Our compression test revealed a failure at 40cm on CTM4. Given this result, we kept it mellow and skied conservatively. Decent accumulation occurred throughout the morning and skiing was enjoyable despite the freezing rain crust.
