Written Report:
Toured up Tumalo from Dutchman. Mostly cloudy (high clouds). Good visibility. Light wind from NW. No blowing snow. Temp 20-25*F. Snow was highly wind compacted (red flag). Snow depth 45-50 inches at top and wind scour. Snow in bowl very stiff and stubborn. No cracking or whomping observed. Skied south side of ridge near snomo boundary. Touched ice layer on my turns. Others skiing and riding. No snow movement observed. Observed old cornice collapse from yesterday (?) as toured to to top. R1D1. 50-75 feet across and stopped mid slope.
