Significant drifting snow from wind
Toured out to Kwohl on Thurs 1/7. Main thing I wanted to note was a lot of wind transport evident on the north side while skinning up. Crossing a short N facing gully (clearly visible viewing Kwohl N side from Bachy S side) there was clear evidence of wind slabbing, and crossing a short roller the slab failed easily just from skinning (see pic). Also did a quick hand hasty pit there and the slab layer failed isolating the pit. Thickness was average around 6" of dense slab on top of less dense (but consistent) pow. This was only present on that aspect and general area. Conditions in the east bowl were much better, with fairly dense ("styrofoamey") pow up top transitioning to lighter pow near treeline.
I'd keep an eye out for wind slabs in exposed alpine areas after the next storm clears.
