Written Report:
We toured on Ball today and conditioning one were variable to say the least! The majority of slopes we traveled on we’re bulletproof ice, interspersed with deep pockets of wind-transported snow that hasn’t bonded to the ice layer below. All ridge lines and anything faxing N/NE were rock solid. Pockets were found in S/SE lines, but these proved to be quite unstable.

Our party encountered widespread shooting cracks in the wind blown areas, got spooked and called it a day. Quite a bit more wind transport than we expected, especially after a encountering deep, light snow on the journey out to Ball in the flats and trees.
