Written Report:
We skied and traveled on N & NE facing slopes at and below treeline. Temps ranged from 15* to 32* by the afternoon with a rapid warming late morning. Moderate winds & snowfall off and on throughout the day.

The skiing was variable: icy & wind scoured on the upper slopes, bottomless powder on the lower half.

In the morning, a shovel tilt test and compression test revealed a weakness in the snow pack approx. 65 cm down (CTV SP).

By noon, we saw multiple skier triggered avalanches in the region ranging from R1D1 to R1D2. We heard whomping and saw cracks propagating on the snow surface as well as easily triggered sluff in steeper terrain.
