Written Report:
20 deg at 6 am, 2.5 hour approach through the trees. Mixed conditions in the forest...soft powder and breakable crust. This was 3rd day of sun and calm in a row. Breaking into bowl, there was wide evidence of roller balls. Not from a point source. It was clear that warming had let loose all of the snow attached to rock bands up high. Much of the bowl was littered with debris. We found good skiing on the few slopes that had avoided the barrage.
