Observations

Stable snow conditions with obvious wind deposited snow and stable wind slab of variable depths on Kwohl butte's shallower north to northeast aspects.
Shallow snow pit as follows:

NE facing slope, shaded, 32 deg.
10 cm fist
.5 cm pencil crust with rounding crystals above
75 cm 4 finger
end shallow pit
total snow depth, 170 cm on a particularly wind loaded slope.
