Wind slabs were the forecasted problem prior to our tour. Weather on Sunday was clear and sunny with temps rising to freezing level and moderate SW winds. Tree bombs were frequent, but we felt good about stability in the trees. The skin track we followed led us to a clearing with a previous avalanche.
