Avalanches were 100-200 feet wide. Observed crowns ranged 20-75 cm (1-2+ feet). Identified a thin weak layer coincident with fracture. Based on observations from a pit in the area on 12/9, this weak layer would have formed sometime between the Dec 8th storm and the Dec 9-10 storm. This same layer was observed in pits earlier in the day (12/12) on Brown Mtn, 50 miles South.
