Skinned out to the backside of the cone to dig a practice snow profile for an upcoming avy course.

Profile elevation = 6,499, W aspect. Dug in an open area within tree-sheltered terrain, no visual evidence of wind effect. Two separate compression tests yielded (measured from the top): CT10 (RP @25cm) & CT12 (RP @27cm).

Profile details at snowpilot.org/node/47362 for kicks and giggles. (Take with a grain of salt, I'm still learning...)
